I think that if they ever implement Personal Loot, the least harmful way would be to split the loot with timed allocation, about 10s.

In theory, this may not sound too bad, but in practice I'm pretty sure that a lot of people would be shocked and dissatisfied about how few drops they see. In a full group, this would result in 8 times less loot on the ground for an individual than normal. However, this would be catastrophic to the economy, making every good unique item or otherwise valuable item worthless, which would kill the enjoyment of finding and trading items.Īnother approach, the right approach, would be to split the total amount of drops between players in the group. A system like this would be the most casual friendly approach, which would appeal to the biggest masses. There are people who want their own instance of drops from every monster. The problem is that we don't know any specifics about how it would be implemented and that raises a lot of concern.Įven those who wish for personal loot, have a different idea about what they expect from it.
